The Beginning

I have had a blog for several years but I really don't post. So I want to start fresh with a new blog all about me and my thoughts. This blog will be course. It will not have proper grammar or punctuation. If that bothers you please do not comment and give me tips on how to correct my language, I don't care that much.
The title of this blog comes from the crux of my life right now...a wart. I have had this wart for 3+ years. What have I done to obliterate this wart? I have tried apple cider vinegar, cutting it off myself, lots of sunlight, burning it from the inside with a strait pen, a wart whisperer, rubbing it with a potato and burying the potato outside, OTC everything, duct tape and the latest try was actual "major" surgery that I was anesthetized for (okay so it was only for about 10 minutes). I went to the dermatologist today about a non-wart related issue, a post for another day. He asked about the scar on my foot and I told him I had surgery to remove a wart and there was just some scar tissue. He then informed me that it was in fact not scar tissue but the WART WAS COMING BACK!
I'm sure everyone has a cure. My grandma told me to take Vitamin A and E together and that would get rid of the virus. I haven't thus far but I am about to use my next paycheck to buy Vitamin World out of A and E. If you have thoughts and ideas I'm more than willing to try them (obviously from the attempts above I'm not opposed to anything).

  1. yay for a new blog! i will take it upon myself to not use punctuation in my comments on here - if you don't care, i don't care! i love it.

the only wart advice i've heard is "wish it away"... you have obviously already done that.

  2. I just saw your link on fb... Blogs can be therapeutic, I speak from experience ;) I am sorry about your wart. After reading everything you've tried to make it go away, there is one thing I kept looking for that you didn't list. Oh wait, I just read Caitlin's comment... have you tried wishing it away?! I had a wart back in 8th grade on my finger and I was totally humiliated. After trying Dr. Scholl's of all kinds and topical stuff I was ready to go and get it frozen. Someone I love very much told me to wish it away at the same time every night. I factored that into my routine (it felt borderline like a prayer, really) and after a week or two it disappeared. I've always wondered: coincidence or real?!

  3. I've had a couple of warts in my lifetime. One on my leg kept coming back. It finally just stopped coming back, but I don't know what did the trick. I do have an ugly scar where it was, though. Most recently I had one grow under my eyelid, but the doctor was nice and called it a lesion instead of a wart. It was removed in his office, and has not yet grown back. I wish every skin condition had a cure. I'm a dermatologist's dream!

  4. Have you heard/tried DNCB? Our dermatologist gave it to us for the girls when they had some warts. I have some if you are interested, email me. I'm happy that you're blogging again. I've missed your life details, warts and all.
